Rosa Parks died Monday at the age of 92. It's difficult to quantify the loss of anyone, but this situation is unusual because she is more often depicted as a political symbol than as a person. I have no brilliant comment to make here, but I will say this: unlike so many figures in the civil rights movement, she died of old age.
