Ren/Ken is the new phen/fen

That is to say, they are a thing of the past.

Mere months after they met and married in a whirlwind romance, Renee Zellweger and Kenny Chesney have filed for an annulment. Curiously, Renee listed "fraud" as one of the reasons for the breakup, but deflects speculation (slightly) here, claiming that the term is just legal jargon.

Obviously, there must be more to the story, but I fully respect her request to keep this matter private. I promise I will not ask questions. Instead, I'll just draw my own conclusion: I think it came down to facial expressions.

Kenny on Renee: "She always looked like she was upset about something."

Renee on Kenny: "I could never see what was going on underneath that giant cowboy hat."

So now she's a free agent again. Hey Nicole, keep a close eye on Keith Urban.

55 Fiction Friday will stay faithful at the right price.

The mornings spent flirting with his coworker. The lunchtime glances with the gorgeous women in the next booth. The late afternoon appointments with the cute manicurist. The subway rides home, inevitably alongside the attractive blonde commuters.

He’d made the mistake of writing very specific vows, and every day he cheated on her a little more.

Hey, found your blog through Attractive Nuisance. I'm so glad I did because I followed your links and I am now in love with 55 Fiction. Not sure how to go about writing it, but it's so cool.

Also your take on Ren/Ken is great.

Thanks, and welcome. Feel free to stop by as often as you like. I make about 5 posts a week, including the blogger's guarantee of a 55 Fiction Friday every Friday (except Fridays I'm out of town).

Give the story thing a go. It's fun, even if you choose not to share your work with others.
