I'd heard about this rumor, but had not seen it in print until the September issue of Premiere. I've taken the liberty of re-creating the desired blurb effect.
Ewan McGregor and Hayden
Christensen are motormouths.
During filming of Revenge of the Sith,
whenever the two actors began
sparring with Obi-Wan Kenobi and
Anakin Skywalker's lightsabers, they unconsciously would begin making whooshing noises -- like they were kids playing with toy lightsabers. George Lucas instructed them to stop moving their lips. Whooshing sounds, he noted, could be added in postproduction. Unfortunately, so could Jar Jar Binks.

I heard this too. It actually just made me love Ewan that much more.
"Are you mad at me?"
Hayden has a Golden Globe nomination for Life as a House, was pretty good in Shattered Glass (though not as good as Hank Azaria and Peter Sarsgaard), and did well enough in Episode III. He's a star in the way that Mark Hamill was during the early 1980s. But he's no Ewan McGregor.
