According to this, June 14 is International Webloggers Day. The message is a little too "I'd like to buy the world a Coke" for my taste, perhaps overstating the value of bloggers to society. After all, according to Homer, "the information superhighway showed the average person what some nerd thinks about Star Trek."
On the other hand, I will say it's hard to imagine being in a country where even blogs get censored. Even though I had a whole class on it in law school, I still manage to take the 1st Amendment for granted. I mean, if we don't have our minutiae, what do we have?
