Each logline below describes a movie in misleading, vague, or roundabout fashion. Identify the movie (or for the last one, the TWO movies) in the comments. Skip the comments if you want to remain unspoiled and solve them yourself.
11. A family enjoys the accommodations of a resort lodge during the off-peak, tourist-free months.

#15 is a much more famous movie than Reindeer Games.
#16 can sound like a bunch of movies, but if read literally, it can only be one movie.
#17 might describe The Color of Money -- I haven't seen it -- but I'm going for something different and direct here. Stick with sports.

I would've said 16 was The Apostle, but I think Jeremy's last guess is probably right.

And while I don't think 12 is in fact What About Bob?, I'd kick myself if it turned out to be right and I didn't take the guess.

#12: Not What About Bob?, though it's interesting that this logline sounds like it. It's sort of like how #11 was The Shining but with a little tweaking could also have been National Lampoon's Vacation. Anyway, #12 is a drama.
#15 is not The Italian Job either. It's more famous than that one, too.
#16: Jeremy is correct. When working on The Night of the Hunter, I thought a lot about The Apostle, but once I decided on a literal approach I abandoned the idea of describing two movies.
#17: Mainline Mom is correct. Crash Davis eventually breaks the minor league home run record, and only Annie knows about it.
#18: Mainline Mom is correct. Sometime next week, after Part 3 of the quiz is completed, I will steer you all to a Shawshank logline someone else wrote that was much more creative (and dirty) than mine.
Still unsolved are 12, 15, 19, and half of 20.
#12: It's a drama, as I said above, and a very popular one.
#15: Again, it's famous, and both the driver and the automobile are tangential to the movie. I just thought it would be interesting to write a logline that focused on such a minor character.
#19: I intentionally wrote it to make it sound like it was set in the advertising world. It is not.
#20: I classify Harry Potter as the second movie here because it entered pop culture long after the other movie I'm describing. (Indeed, J.K. Rowling may have been thinking of this movie as an influence when writing her chess scene.) It is not in English, and features chess. Even if you've never seen it, that narrows your options considerably.
#15 How about: Die Hard?

Jeremy, you are correct on #12 and #19.
Last hint: The other movie for #20 directly inspired a character and sequence in Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey.
