Splenda Sixteen (women)

With Maryland's loss to Ole Miss tonight, we'll have a new national champion. You know where I stand on this issue.

Unlike the men, this Sweet 16 has a "next George Mason" candidate: 13-seed Marist. Who knew? These seeding crashers beat Ohio State and Middle Tennessee to get this far. Almost as impressive: FSU, a 10-seed, who upset Stanford... at Stanford.

If you're curious, only two schools can accomplish the double dip now: North Carolina and Tennessee.

The women's Sweet 16:

Greensboro Regional
01. Duke
08. Vanderbilt
09. Arizona State
16. Rutgers
25. Bowling Green

Dayton Regional
02. Tennessee
07. Maryland
10. Oklahoma
15. Ohio State
26. Mississippi
50. Marist

Dallas Regional
03. North Carolina
06. Purdue
11. Georgia
14. Texas A&M
19. George Washington

Fresno Regional
04. Connecticut
05. Stanford
12. LSU
13. N.C. State
37. Florida State

Oops. I posted women's tourney comments in the men's tourney post. My bad. Go Devils!

Never mind the misfiled comment. I still can't believe you had nothing to say about my All-Simpsons team.

Go women! Beat the Rutgers Rutabagas!
